Mark has been involved in commercial real estate his entire adult life coming from a family that has developed in excess of $150,000,000 in office properties throughout the United States.

He has been engaged in commercial real estate development and brokerage in Tucson, specializing exclusively in office and medical office properties, since 1983. Mark and his company are consistently recognized as one of Tucson's leading commercial real estate firms.

Mark was the first office specialist to hold designations as both a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). In addition to his own report on the real estate market, he has been reporting on the state of the Tucson real estate market for the prestigious SIOR Professional Journal since 1990. Mark has also had a number of articles published nationally as well.

He is a four-time winner - including being a back-to-back-to-back winner - of the annual Tucson CCIM Office Market Forecast Competition for his accurate predictions and forecasts before retiring from active competition in 2007.

Like most members of the firm, Mark is very active in non-profit and professional organizations focusing most of his efforts on helping disadvantaged youth. He regularly does work shops for non-profit organizations highlighting his personal board development and fund-raising strategies. Over the past 10 years he has presented his " How to Make Your Board The Board In Town" seminar free to over 50 non-profit agencies in Tucson.

His own personal board involvement includes:

  • American Red Cross of Southern Arizona - Secretary and Past Board Member (2001 - 2005)
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson - Past President (1994) currently hold Emeritus status and have been an active board member since 1990
  • CCIM Southern Arizona Chapter - Past President (1992) and an active member since 1987
  • Pima Community College Foundation - Past President (2006) and an active board member since 2001
  • Rio Nuevo Multi-Facilities District, Vice Chairman (appointed by the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives in 2010)
  • Rotary Club of Tucson - Board of Director's (2002 - 2004) and an active Member since 1994
  • Southern Arizona Leadership Council Member since 2009

Recent awards, accomplishments, and recognition include:

  • Presented with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement "Call to Service Award" by President Obama in 2011
  • Named the first ever Honorary Commander for Davis Monthan Air Force Base in 2010 and again in 2011 for a new 2-year term
  • Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson Top Fund-Raiser (14 out of the past 22 years)
  • The Boys and Girls Clubs Youth of the Year program was re-named the " Mark Irvin Boys and Girls Clubs Youth of the Year Program" in 2011 for perpetuity in recognition of his past 17 years as it's Chair
  • THE EVENT Co-Founder and 3-time chair. THE EVENT has raised over $4,500,000 for Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson since it debuted in 2002
  • THE MILLION DOLLAR HOLIDAY AUCTION Co-Founder and Chair - top Boys and Girls Clubs fund-raising event over the past 50 plus years with over $1,000,000 raised in 1999
  • THE PARTY Co-Founder and 2-time Chair - which has raised over $1,500,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson since it debuted in 2010
  • Outstanding Young Men in America (recognized from 1985 - 1992)
  • SIOR President's Award for Community Service (2006). Inaugural Award of what has become an annual award. Selected from over 2,500 candidates nationally

Mark holds a B.B.A. with a major in Business and Finance and a minor in Real Estate from Southern Methodist University and an Associate Degree in Transportation and Business from Eastfield College - both located in Dallas, Texas.
